Double post pew pew pew!
...I have no idea where that came from. Anyway, finished the first commish!
The lineart for this was tough. I loved doing the hair and the face (except the mouth... "augh the mouth is open how do I draw this?!"), but the pose... well, it's kinna unoriginal (half generic fireball pose, half actual casting animation), and I know I completely botched her right hand, but whatever. It clicked.
I finally figured out a good way to do the coloring, so that made me happy. Two ways, actually. I lay down an initial layer with the camel brush, then added a darker color and blended the two with the tint blender (much better than the smudger!). About halfway through I figured out that I could use one of the chalk tools with the tint blender to achieve even better highlights and shadows, especially on the hair. So I think I'll be sticking with that from now on.
So yeah! It's good to be back at the tablet... it's hard to get back into, but once I was working it just drew me in. So yay!
EDIT: Ack! Somehow I managed to upload the uncropped version. Oh well; it's not too bad.

Since I really really like these, I would really really like it if you want to do ALL my other pve characters. (just 6 others)
They fit very well on my wiki character pages.
My Warrior:
Infested Kerrigan I
Very dangerous warrior that doesn't give up until her target is down. (With Tinted Spectacles please.)(If you are including a weapon pick these: Destroyer Maul, Embersteel Blade, Barbed Axe, Magma Shield.)
My Ranger:
I Terran Ghost I
Sneaky huntress that can work without sight. (If you are including a weapon please choose the Silverwing Recurve Bow (Black).)
My Necromancer:
I Zerg Queen I
The Queen of Dark Magic and undead. (She has a red scar below her eye behind the hair, it shouldn't be seen clearly though.)(If you are including a weapon please choose the Bone Dragon Staff (black).)
My Monk:
I Terran Medic I
Cute monk. Enough said. (She has Tinted Spectacles, forgot to show it.)
My Asssassin:
I Zerg Zergling I
Sneaky and cold minded Assassin, can create shadow illusions of herself. (She wields Black Dragon Kamas.)
My Mesmer:
Protoss Sentry
Top quality illusionist.
So that will make a total of 120k (you will probably get more from me. )
I want them all seperatly though! :O

Finished Invertation's commish!
This one was almost entirely in the soft charcoal (what I erroneously referred to earlier as chalk), with only the base layer in camel brush. Shading has gotten so much easier, although I think despite my fiddlings I lost most of the facial shading in midtones. My main worry now is that I will fall into smudgy blendy hell with no sharpness; I'll have to keep a good leash on it.
I hope the eyes are a good enough color. I tried to give her a bit more direction with the expression by giving her a bit of a pupil rather than a solid-colored glowing eye. I think while I was futzing with the shading on the eyeball I may have screwed up on the reflection a little. Whoops Oh, and I recolored the lips a bit so they wouldn't clash; the purplish maroon was not getting along with the oranges.
Sorry I kind of phoned in the armor, but I didn't want the detail to take attention away from the face, and I was already worried about how her neck, not her head, is at the center of the image.
I just realized that every single necro picture I've drawn on this thread has been largely red. Curious.

I think Invertation will be doing a happy dance with this one. Great job.

That necro looks lovely. I really like what you did with the eyes and the tattoo on her face.

Red! Of course, red and necromancers go together like frenzy/healsig on warriors.
It's a fine work.

Finally finished Perynne's art trade!
Personally, after a week of wrestling with it, I'm still not happy. With the exception of the leather bits, the outfit seems to have got lost in midtone hell. But the worst part is the pose/expression. I started out trying to have her swinging across a chasm, but I couldn't get the rope to work right, and I gave up on that. I found some lovely shots of somebody's Lara Croft cosplay that worked as good reference for just climbing/hanging on to a rope, so I ran with that, thinking maybe she's hanging on for dear life or something. But I can't draw muscles well at all, and her expression got stuck in "dull surprise" mode, so I scratched that. So now she's just chillin', I guess.
Oh well.
Oh, and btw I'm closing commissions due to only having about a month before I have to leave for school. I'll finish the queue (frostkisses if you update your post I'll count you in too) and then *iff* I have time left I'll reopen.

I love it! I think the expression is very good (it's hard to get any kind of expression with a mask like that) and the idea of her just hanging on the rope, chillin' out with no care in the world... it's just like her to do something like that. The maps and gold pieces dropping from her bag are a wonderful touch too, definitely gives it an adventurer feel. Thankyou! I'm very happy with it.

Ah is home. Hooray for lovely dry California air! Though I will miss the lovely Midwest summer lightning storms.
I'll probably get back to drawing on Tuesday. I am a space cadet today and tomorrow I have to clean b/c my cousins from Arkansas are coming to visit.

Hey guys. Sorry about the delays.
A) College = much busyness. I've had my hands full with my assigned artwork.
B) Corel Painter Essentials has spontaneously decided it is unstable and refuses to launch. I need to figure out why this is happening and fix it.
I will try to complete my commissions at some point (breaks will help), assuming I can get my programs up and running again. The other half of the art trade with Murke is top priority, but I will attempt to get to everyone.
Sorry to keep y'all waiting.

You don't have to do mine anymore, I thought you quit since I didn't hear in a long while from you.
I don't have the money anymore for the payment.
